Barker returns to Samford

Brewton-Parker coach Steve Barker returned to Samford University to coach against his Alma mater. From 1978 to 1982 Barker was a four-year starter who led the Bulldogs in scoring each season. In 106 games Barker averaged 17.9 points including 22.5 in his senior season. Barker's 1,902 points is still the second most in school history. He still holds four school records- most double figure games in a career (90), highest free throw percentage in a career (85%), most consecutive free throws made (42) and most free throws made and attempted in a game (21-of-24). Barker begins his reminiscing by talking about coming from Apollo High School in Owensboro, Kentucky and leading the Bulldogs in scoring as a freshman. Audio
