Bulldogs wrap up spring practice
The Toombs County Bulldogs wrapped up spring practice on Thursday playing a lot of speed football. A team featuring Demery Hawkins, T.J. Bulldog guards make it happen
In Toombs County's wing offense the guards play an important role in the Bulldog's success in running the football. You don't have to be big to be a Bulldog guard. One of the best pairs from the past was Teddy Copeland and Ryan Wilkes. Audio Pictured from left to right are four of the top Bulldog guards in spring practice. Bullpups become Bulldogs
One major emphasis at spring football practice has been to incorporate the up-and-coming ninth graders into the varsity program. Halfback Britt Brannon says, "I was a little nervous at the beginning, but now everything is OK. I basically know everybody and everything." Maurice Hunt is a 216 pound lineman and he says he is one of a few middle school lineman participating in spring practice.
