Chad Wilcher
Chad Wilcher, recently was married to LeAnn. He has been in the service for 3 years. He will be deployed to Iraq for a 15-month tour. This is his Chadâs second tour. He is a sniper. Chad is a 2003 graduate of Toombs county high School.
Update- Chad was injured in Iraq and is currently being treated at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C. He had shrapnel to his right thigh and above the right eye - he also has some in the right eye and that was removed on September 19, 2008.
Further update- I'm stationed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington,D.C. I was wounded in Iraq and was sent here. I have another surgery on March 26, 2009. I'm currently getting med boarded out of the army and will be back in Toombs County around the middle of summer or late summer. My wife LeAnn is currently pregnant and the baby should be here around November.

Shawn Wilcher
Shawn Wilcher (pictured with mother Cindy) is married to Leah and they have three children, Zowie, Jada, and Traceton. Shawn was first stationed in the nations capitol as an honor guard for six months before going to Fort Campbell. He has received a purple heart for injuries sustained on his last deployment in Iraq from a IED explosion. He has completely healed from all injuries and currently is getting ready to deploy to Afghanistan with the division commander. Shawn served in Iraq during the initial invasion in 2003 and then again on 2005. This will be his third deployment.
Update (June 29,2008)- Shawn is still in Afghanistan adjusting to his new duties. He says he will be home in November and then he will finally have a chance to see his new son, Brayden Todd, who was born on April 15, 2008. Shawn wasn't there for his birth so he says, "I am really looking forward to meeting him for the first time."
